About

I am a mixed-methods researcher bridging the gap between business strategy, end-users, and design.

At my core, I enjoy making sense of complex questions by building a deep, empathy-driven understanding of problem spaces.

In my free time, you can find me playing soccer, camping, sketching, or learning how to use a pottery wheel.

My UX Journey

I graduated from Tufts University with a degree in Human Factors Engineering and a minor in Studio Art. While at Tufts, I worked in an applied brain and cognitive sciences lab with the U.S. Army DEVCOM Soldier Center, focusing on measuring, predicting, and enhancing cognitive capabilities and human-system interactions in high-stakes environments. Additionally, I collaborated on a capstone project with MIT Lincoln Labs and CS+ECE students to develop an IoT device and interface to help military medics detect musculoskeletal injuries in trainees. These experiences inspired me to pursue a career in UX, where I could continue to solve complex problems through a user-centered approach and see my efforts make an immediate impact

After Tufts, I joined Avail Car Sharing, a startup owned by Allstate, as a UX Researcher & Designer. During my tenure, I researched and redesigned their entire web booking experience and enterprise operations tools as the company grew from 60 to over 200 people. While thriving under the responsibility and necessity to wear many hats in a startup environment, I discovered that UX Research resonated more deeply with me than UX Design. I found the greatest satisfaction in uncovering user experiences and translating them into actionable insights, product requirements, and recommendations that drove meaningful product improvements. Eventually, I departed Avail Car Sharing as a UX Research Lead, managing one peer.

Next, I joined Mercari on the U.S. branch of Japan's first unicorn and largest resale marketplace as a UX Researcher II. My work focused on enhancing user experiences for buyers, sellers, shipping & logistics teams, and spearheading new strategic initiatives. During my tenure, I progressed to Senior UX Researcher, benefiting from a team that fostered advanced UX maturity.

For my next chapter, I am eager to continue advancing in the UX Research field, leveraging deep, user-centered insights to drive impactful product improvements.
